The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) condemned, as they said, the anti-state act of destroying the marble slab on the monument on Ravni Laz, dedicated to the organizers of the Thirteenth of July Uprising, the first in enslaved Europe.
"Unfortunately, almost a century after that heroic act, the followers of the Quisling ideology desecrate under the cover of darkness the symbols of the greatest values of Montenegro. We condemn with disgust the vandal attack on the Montenegrin flag in Bijelo Polje, and the increasingly frequent attempts to disparage Montenegrin symbols, as well as the historic Montenegrin partisan feat in to the Second World War," said MP and DPS spokesman Miloš Nikolić.
The 21th of July uprising, he points out, represents the historical vertical of Montenegrin statehood, without which there would be neither May XNUMX nor present-day Montenegro.
"We want to acknowledge the police for an extremely effective action after the senseless desecration of the Montenegrin flag in Bijelo Polje, in the expectation that other state authorities will react in the same way, in this and other cases of attacks on state dignity," concludes Nikolić.
