Prime Minister Duško Marković announced the continuation of negotiations with the Montenegrin Littoral Metropolitanate on the Law on Freedom of Religion "as soon as the conditions are met".
"Trying to be as soon as possible," said Marković.
"Nothing stands in the way of health as a whole. The whole system is dedicated to that goal, and that's why we stopped all other priorities within the policy. I received a letter a week ago as a proposal to continue the conversation. I spoke with the metropolitan and said that we will start with talks as soon as the conditions are created. Talks can only proceed when a good environment is created - a willingness to conduct dialogue in a good spirit and not through blackmail. Today I saw some announcements that they will start with lithia. Let no one scare us with lithia. The government he will not change his policy, only if there are real reasons of expediency and justification, and not out of fear that it will be litigated,'' said Marković.
Answering the question about relaxing the measures on public gatherings, the prime minister said that "the epidemic is not over yet", but also that the plan is to allow public gatherings of up to a certain number of people at the beginning of June.
"We are currently a corona-free country, but that does not mean that we are at the end of our work because the global pandemic is in effect. The work has not stopped for us, we have to prevent the introduction of the virus and its spread. The measures, as announced by the Institute, would should have entered into force on June 1, and this means that we will have permitted public gatherings of up to one number. Thus, we are already entering the process of introducing public gatherings with certain measures."
He also said that regardless of agreements with religious communities, gatherings have recently taken place in Nikšić, Berane...
"On the twenty-first of May, we had sporadic gatherings of young people, in an open space, which, according to us, did not represent an epidemiological risk".
