Prime Minister Duško Marković said after the prime minister's hour that the authorities from Serbia could call and ask about the decisions of Montenegro.
According to him, it is interesting that one press conference where the decisions were announced can cause so much turmoil and accusations against Montenegro.
"We do not behave like that. Serbia was one of the first to close the border and Serbia is the country that immediately banned the export of medical equipment to Montenegro. Serbia banned the export of wheat, but we did not react to it because we appreciated that these were the decisions of the Serbian authorities," he said. said Marković in response to questions from journalists.
He pointed out that the phones were working and the authorities from Serbia could call and ask if they were interested in the decisions of the Government of Montenegro.
"Brnabić could have invited me, Vučić Đukanović. If we should go there and ask what to do, no way. We are not accountable to anyone. We are a serious company and we behave in a European manner. We have not received any objection from any country in relation to the decision on borders. "We only received congratulations," said Marković
He added that he did not know what the reason was the statement of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić and said that Montenegro's decision not to open its borders with Serbia for the time being is based on epidemiological standards.
Commenting on the decision of the Serbian authorities not to allow the landing of the Montenegro Airlines plane, Marković said that this was also the decision of the Serbian authorities and that an alternative was being sought, as in the case of wheat.
"It is not logical, we will not ask for an explanation for that," said Marković. He said that Germany approved travel to 31 countries, but not to Montenegro.
"Germany can say that Montenegro is as clean as tears, but that they do not open the border to us," is Marković's opinion.
Citizens of Republika Srpska can come to Montenegro, hope is not lost that the case of Jovanovic's murder will be solved to the end
Commenting on the reactions of the President of the Republic of Sroska, Milorad Dodik, Marković said that the citizens of the Republic of Srpska can come to Montenegro.
When asked if he feels responsibility and shame for the murder of Duško Jovanović, Marković replied that he believes that all hope is not lost to shed light on the case to the end.
"Responsibility, systemic responsibility, not personal. We will do everything to shed light on the case," said Marković.
He announced the rebalancing of the budget no later than the first week of June and added that it will be aimed at reducing and rationalizing costs.
"The money saved must be directed to the payment of wages, pensions and social benefits, as well as to investments. We will cut costs wherever we can, not symbolically, but essentially, in order to preserve public finances and their stability, because the economic crisis is coming, which will be difficult and painful for both the government and the citizens," said Marković.
He said that this challenge must be answered in the best possible way, and that saving state money is one of them.
"I believe that the rebalancing will answer that need as well," said Marković and added that he does not know how valuable it will be, because the Ministry of Finance is working on it.
Everything is at risk when it comes to the economy
When asked whether the economic citizenship project could be threatened, Marković replied that everything is at risk when it comes to the economy, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"We are doing everything to try to start our economy. What I can say is that in this period of interrupted economic activities and reduced investment and any other interest, that program is running," said Marković.
He said that there were several applications, as well as those for hotels in Kolašin, on which work has already begun, were approved.
"We have interest, and I believe it will grow as the world economy opens up," added Marković.
He said that he thinks that ten passports have already gone through the complete procedure and approval, from international legal and security checks, to domestic checks, but he does not know if they have been formally completed and handed over.
Continue talks with MCP as soon as possible
When asked when the talks with the Montenegrin Litoral Metropolis (MCP) will be resumed, Marković replied that, in his opinion, it should be as soon as possible.
"My position is that it should be done as soon as possible. I received a letter from the metropolitan, we spoke on the phone, I said that the talks should continue, but the talks cannot be conducted on the principle of blackmail. We will see if the legal experts will find a solution," said Marković.
