In Montenegro, the number of active patients with covid-19 is currently 1.453, the Institute for Public Health (IJZ) announced yesterday, where PCR analysis of 24 samples was completed in the last 426 hours, among which 64 results were positive. The samples that were sent to Germany were also processed and, as announced by the IJZ, the total number of positive findings is 475.
The IJZ also said yesterday that in two cases of death in which it was suspected that the cause of death was related to the new coronavirus, the result was negative, while it was laboratory confirmed in the case of a patient from Bijelo Polje whose death was reported earlier.
In Podgorica, there are the most currently infected - 553, while in Rožaje there are 221, and from that municipality there have been the most deaths so far - seven. 151 people are currently infected in Bijelo Polje.
The most recovered are in Berane - 14. In that municipality, 79 people are currently infected. The number of infected in Budva is 64, Nikšić 61, Pljevlja 56, Cetinje 55, Bar 53, and Kotor 52, Tivat 29, Herceg Novi 21, Ulcinj 18, Gusinj 17, nine in Danilovgrad. One person each is currently infected in Andrijevica, Tuzi and Žabljak.
Since the beginning of the month, 19 people have died from covid-16 in Montenegro, while the total number of recoveries is 33.
Due to the significant increase in the number of new cases of coronavirus infection in Podgorica, the National Authority for Infectious Diseases (NKT) called for greater responsibility and compliance with the measures - without exception. This was announced last night after the NKT session.
It was also decided that the application of the measures on the territory of Rožaje municipality will be extended until July 22, and on the territory of Gusinje until July 24.
The ban on public gatherings for DPS youth in Berane is not valid
The Youth Council of the DPS Berane Municipal Board, during the Statehood Day celebration in Jasikovac, did not respect the bans on gatherings and physical distancing.
This can be seen in the video posted on their Facebook page, where it is evident that there is no physical distance, especially when walking along the narrow stairs that lead to the monument on that hill above the city.
The statement signed by the president of the Youth Council, Bransilav Jokić, states, among other things, that "anti-fascist torches were lit in front of the Freedom Monument as a sign of memory and gratitude to all fallen victims in the Montenegrin anti-fascist struggle."
"Vijesti" contacted Jokić, but he insisted that we submit the question regarding whether the measures banning gatherings and observing physical distance were violated by email.
We did not receive an answer, and Jokić did not respond to calls and SMS after that.

Berane is in the zone where the NKT has declared an epidemic and where many prohibition measures are in force, including a ban on gatherings of more than two people, catering establishments are closed, and shops have a limited number of customers who can stay in the establishment at once.
The municipality of Berane, in which the coalition Zdravo Berane (SNP, DF) and the Democrats are in power, performed fireworks on the occasion of the National Day from a fire truck and without a public gathering.
Positive and technicians at the Dobrot hospital
In the Dobrota Special Hospital in Kotor, a positive result for covid-19 was confirmed for two medical technicians, they told "Vijesta" from the office of Director Petar Abramović, adding that they will have more information when they receive the test results of all employees and patients from the departments where these technicians work. "From the very beginning, the hospital implemented measures as recommended by the NKT, had regular contact with the epidemiological service of the Kotor Health Center, and according to the newly emerging epidemiological situation in the hospital, all employees and patients from the departments where the technicians work will be tested. For now, the wards are isolated, they are disinfected daily, and there is no shortage of protective equipment. We will have more information in the coming days, after receiving the test results", told "Vijesta" from the Dobrota Special Hospital.
Several reports of suspected irresponsible behavior of individuals and entrepreneurs have been sent to the editorial office of "Vijesti", and the IJZ says that similar behavior should be "reported without hesitation to the Health and Sanitary Inspection".
Austria stopped Montenegro
The Ambassador of Austria to Montenegro, Ana Janković, confirmed to "Vijesta" that Podgorica-Vienna flights will be suspended, stating that this was decided by the Austrian Minister of Health based on the epidemiological situation.
"The flights will be suspended from July 16 for two weeks. The situation will be reassessed by the end of the month," Janković told "Vijesti". According to data from the airport's website, several airlines fly to Vienna - "Austrian", "Viz Air" and "Montenegro Airlines".
