Health and sanitary inspectors were invited to enter the assembly hall in Budva today and see if the measures of the National Coordinating Body are being respected, because there will be more than 40 people at the scheduled session, including councilors, members of private security, and media representatives.
The leader of the Budva Democrats and head of the committee club, Mijomir Pejović, sent an urgent letter to the Directorate for Inspection Affairs - Department for Health and Sanitary Inspection to carry out inspection supervision.
A letter from the health and sanitary inspection was forwarded to "News" from the parliamentary service, which states that "in this particular case there is no place to limit up to 20 people because it is not a public gathering", but about the work of the Municipal Assembly as a representative body of citizens, for the maintenance of which they do not exist legal obstacles while respecting the prescribed epidemiological measures.
Anđela Ivanović, who was appointed as the president of the Municipal Assembly by the will of the majority, scheduled a session of the local parliament for Saturday as an emergency procedure.
At the proposal of the President of the Municipality, Nikola Divanović, Ivanovic referred to the Rules of Procedure and again, for the third time in the past month and a half, scheduled a meeting under the emergency procedure, and this time on Saturday. She scheduled the session in the assembly hall.
"With the measures of the National Coordinating Body for Infectious Diseases (NKT) of July 23, at the proposal of the Institute of Public Health, in order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, a new temporary measure was introduced that limits the gathering of people on the entire national territory to a maximum of 40 people open public places, and 20 people in closed ones, with the obligation to respect a physical distance of at least two meters. On the website of the Municipality of Budva, a notice was posted on the convening of the 40th session of the Assembly of the Municipality of Budva under emergency procedure for August 8, starting at 10 a.m. in the hall of the Municipality of Budva. In the above-mentioned way, about 50 people will gather in a closed room, while the measure of physical distance will not be respected, which will drastically violate the NKT measure indicated above. We expect that you will act on this initiative without delay," Pejović pointed out in a letter to the Administration, and asked them to inform the Municipal Committee of Democratic Montenegro in Budva about the established factual situation and the measures taken after the inspection.
The opposition councilors did not attend the previous sessions, except for the DF, who mostly left the hall after ten minutes of protest due to the maintenance, so the remaining 17 councilors of the new majority - 12 from the ranks of the DPS, one from the SD, three from Montenegro and councilor Stevan Džaković stayed in the hall. "Vijesti" was told that all DF and Democrat councilors will come to the meeting tomorrow, in order to make sure that the NKT measures are respected.
As "Vijesti" was told by the opposition, if a session is held today in a closed space, where more than 20 people will attend, they believe that this will mean that the Directorate for Inspections will allow political gatherings to be held freely in closed spaces from Monday, so soon and parties to schedule rallies.
Scheduling the session and holding it takes place after the pre-election campaign has officially started, and as it was said yesterday at the protest in front of the Municipality building by the councilors of the DF and the Democrats, new hires are also made illegally at the session, which is prohibited before the election.
And there are 29 decisions on the agenda of today's session. Although it was expected that there would be a decision on the unblocking of the municipal account, which would enable the payment of wages to employees in local administration and public institutions, the first point will be the address of Divanović, who will present information on "undertaken activities to unblock the account".
Before the councilors of the parliamentary majority there is a set of decisions on the dismissal of the representatives of the recent administration.
