I am sure that the citizens of Pljevlja did not believe Milo Đukanović, who addressed them in his capacity as the president of DPS, and not all citizens, that the state will carry out the reconstruction of the existing thermal power plant and add a second unit to it, Dejan Mijović, candidate for deputy from the list, said today coalition "Black on White".
"I am convinced of this not only because the DPS did not fulfill any of the similar promises from the previous elections, but because today in the age of the Internet no one can sell you a horn in a bag anymore. You know very well that Montenegro must follow EU policy and the Paris climate agreement, which dictate that, due to the threat to the planet, thermal power plants must be closed rapidly. You also know that due to huge penalties, such projects are unprofitable and that Montenegro cannot get loans for them from international financial institutions, without whose support they cannot be implemented", Mijović told Pljevljaci.
He said that "all of us in Montenegro, including the signatory of these lines, were once in favor of the construction of thermal power plants".
"The latest findings, however, about the harsh danger that threatens us, order all of us, especially the responsible politicians, to adapt to the new reality and turn to renewable energy sources. Milo Đukanović is not a responsible politician because, despite everything, he is still trying to deceive you, so he and his DPS no longer deserve your trust, as well as the rest of the citizens of Montenegro," says Mijović.
He also adds that wherever democracy resides, presidents of states and governments resign irrevocably when they are confronted with "irrefutable evidence of corruption", and those who do not do so are quickly brought to justice by the prosecution and judiciary of those countries.
"Instead of making unnecessary announcements that cover up corruption at a high level, the State Prosecutor's Office of Montenegro, headed by Ivica Stanković and Milivoj Katnić, would have, in the case of Možur, due to which the electricity bills of the citizens of Montenegro will be increased by 115 million euros, must initiate an urgent procedure to revoke the immunity of Milo Đukanović, and arrest him, because he is the most responsible for this unprecedented robbery", emphasized Mijović.
Mijović points out that "since they will not do it", the Black and White coalition promises that, together with all the democratic forces of society, they will make sure that it happens.
"We will dismantle that corrupt business, and all the savings achieved, as well as the 60 million euros allocated to the company of the president's son for the fake reconstruction of the thermal power plant, will be directed to the construction of wind power plants and other development projects in Pljevlje and other parts of Montenegro. In order for us to succeed in this, it is only necessary for all of you to fulfill your civic duty and vote on August 30 for the only correct offer, the Black on White coalition," concluded Mijović.
