Mayors from the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) spent over half a million euros on lunches, dinners and trips, Danilo Mrvaljević, a candidate for deputy of the "Peace is our nation" coalition, announced today.
"While the OO DPS Cetinje has been stamping three announcements a day in recent days, in which they boast that they bought ten computers for the deceased business incubator and patched 15 potholes with pre-election asphalt, while trying to hide all the nervousness that has reigned in the ranks of OKG DPS and OPD in recent months (organized extension cabal) SD due to the imminent electoral defeat that is about to happen to them, it would be better if they explained to the citizens of Cetinje how their mayors managed to spend more than half a million euros on lunches, dinners and trips around the world in just the last seven years. DPS on the eve of every election promise new jobs and the construction of tens of apartments for the most vulnerable categories of the population, we ask the former mayor of "King of Illyria" and current "Confused Illyrian" how many apartments could be built so far and how many jobs were created for half a million euros that ate and drank," Mrvaljević pointed out.
He added that spending almost seven to eight thousand euros a month or 200-300 euros a day on average just for lunches, dinners and trips, while the citizens of Cetinje barely make ends meet is shameful to say the least.
"Well, the arrested OKG mayors of Budva didn't do that either. Even the famous Verica Maraš would have envied them living on high ground, on the backs of the suffering people. Their ministers and other public officials remember Cetinje only before the elections, they don't leave the city and standardly, without any hesitation, harming the position of DPS in the pre-election campaign, in front of the eyes of the entire domestic public and the international community, insulting the common sense of all the citizens of the capital in the most mundane ways possible, telling fairy tales about how tens of millions of euros have been invested here and how well we live. And they are not ashamed for a moment," said Mrvaljević.
He said that the ministerial siege of Cetinje in recent days and the anger of local officials and activists of the regime show only one thing.
"The great fear of electoral defeat in the ranks of the autocratic regime is increasing day by day, they have completely lost their compass, all the threats, all the monitoring, punishments and attacks of their activists-pedestrians are in vain, there is nothing that can save them from the defeat that is coming to them on the 30th. August. And let us repeat to the members of the hybrid regime of the Capital: Stop the empty talk, hiding behind the holy Montenegrin flag, fiddling about Montenegro and Serbia and pre-election fairy tales for the gullible, answer that there are more than half a million euros of all the citizens of Cetinje," concluded Mrvaljević.
