If Montenegrin citizens are used to anything, it is the accusation of the party from the last century - DPS, that all those who do not bend their spines before their crime and corruption are traitors to the state, said Marko Popović from the "Black on White" coalition today.
"Thus, 30 years ago, the same DPS used the most disgusting expressions for our parents who ignited the spark of the idea of an independent Montenegro. Today, three decades later, the same DPS is trying to label honest and honorable people, proven patriots, children of those Montenegrin patriots in a similar way," said Popović.
He points out that he is sorry that DPS "fails to come to terms with the fact that the people do not want them, that they are fed up with lies and fraud, malfeasance and corruption, organized crime, intimidation and blackmail".
Popović also states that "DPS's love for Montenegro" is manifested, as he says, through several exact examples:
- "As much as 38% of the wealth in Montenegro is owned by foreigners; - The Government of Montenegro put a mortgage on the territory of Montenegro by concluding a secret loan agreement with a Chinese bank, which states that in case of default on the loan have to cede the territory of Montenegro, the arbitration in that case would be conducted before Chinese courts according to Chinese laws; - The Government of Montenegro took Mamula from the citizens and rented it for less than €4000 per month; - DPS owed the state of Montenegro over 3.5 billion euros and each newborn child in Montenegro owes €6000 upon birth; - Montenegro's public debt increased from €700 million in 2006 to €3.78 billion in 2020; - In the period 2014-2020, the state has the hydropower plant destroyed 13 Montenegrin rivers, and the owners of the same companies are close people of your president Đukanović; - Through the item "Renewable energy sources" on the electricity bills, €13 million in subsidies were paid out of the pockets of citizens to the owners of those companies; - During the 30 years of power, DPS did not build a single hospital; - For 30 years of power, the DPS failed to provide proper water supply to the Capital of Montenegro," the announcement reads.
"These data are certainly not the results of the political activities of the URE, which I represent, but of the DPS," said Popović.
"These are just a few data in a sea of similar ones, which depict your relationship to Montenegro in the most plastic way. After this, who can you deceive with the defense of the state, when these data are behind your political activity? If there were only these, it would be too much. Unfortunately, this is just a drop in the ocean of your three-decade stay in the political sky of Montenegro," he says.
He also says that DPS should not defend Montenegro from him, his family and friends.
"Because we always kept it without any interest. Those who threaten the state interests of Montenegro are in your backyard and are in daily contact with your president, so it would be best for our country if your policy becomes a thing of the past. The best way to do that is to circle the number 6 on Sunday with a pencil in hand," he concluded.
