Đurašković: SDP will be the opposition to the government headed by DF, Abazović should be aware of the responsibility he bears

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) will be the opposition to the new coalition government led by the Democratic Front (DF), said the member of the party's Presidency, Nikola Đurašković.

The leader of the "Black on White" coalition, Dritan Abazović, said at today's press conference that he could not confirm whether he would offer the SDP to enter the government and that the only problem of that party was that it had only one goal - to save Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS).

In response, Đurašković stated that Abazović should be aware of the responsibility he bears, as well as know that "the national-chauvinist slogans of his allies are his image and his concern."

According to him, Abazović now has the least need to tell lies about the SDP and lament that that party continues to be on the right side of history as a parliamentary entity.

Đurašković said that the SDP was in opposition to the DPS for four years and that it voluntarily left the government without a single stain, clean as a tear after achieving another strategic goal of joining NATO.

"Thus, in the coming period, we will also be in opposition to your coalition headed by the DF, whose program you already announce that you will implement. That's why they celebrate you in Banja Luka and Belgrade, instead of in Cetinje", said Đurašković Abazović.

He said that Abazović should take care of his own worries, which, as he stated, are not small today.

"Worry about how, after last night's outbursts of chauvinism, you will build a civil, multi-ethnic Montenegro with those who threaten your compatriots and other citizens who are members of minority nations," said Đurašković in his response.

He said that Abazović will bear full political responsibility for his election, which the SDP respects as an expression of democracy and political will.

Đurašković said that changes are necessary and that is clear, but not in a way that would risk civic Montenegro and flatter clero-nationalism. "It will remain strange to everyone why the DF policy of clero-nationalism is closer to you than the SDP and why one of your goals in the elections was to cooperate with the DF to do as much damage as possible to the SDP," Đurašković added.

As he said, civil, independent and multi-ethnic Montenegro has no political price.

"Just as we were the opposition for four years and criticized the bad moves of the DPS government, now we will be the opposition to you and your DF allies," Đurašković stated.

Especially, as he pointed out, in the part of preserving civil, independent and multi-ethnic Montenegro.

"We see that Matija Bećković also celebrates you and invites you to Belgrade to be "carried by the Serbian youth in their arms". Maybe instead of Belgrade, you should show up in Cetinje. You can do it alone, and you can do it with Marko Milačić or Amfilohi, but this time publicly and not secretly", Đurašković said in response.
