NP: Sijerković (DPS) not to succumb to pressure, Laličić must justify the defeat in front of the boss and master

The civic list "Narod Pobjeđuje" (NP), which won the local elections in Tivat on Sunday, publicly warned today the president of the Municipal Election Commission (MEC) of Tivat, Marija Sijerković (DPS), not to succumb to the pressure exerted on her by her party, dissatisfied with the defeat suffered by DPS in Tivat, for the first time after 24 years of uninterrupted power of that party.

On Sunday, NP received 3.519 votes from the people of Tivat and won 13 mandates in the new convocation of SO Tivat, while DPS had 3.014 votes, which won 11 mandates.

The Social Democrats (SD), Bokeški Forum (BF) and the Croatian Citizens' Initiative (HGI) will have two mandates each, and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Civic List "Goran Božović - honorable and responsible for a better Tivat" will have one councilor each.

Not accepting the defeat and the fact that even with its coalition partners SD and HGI, it cannot reach a majority, DPS Tivta has been insisting for two days on the review and re-counting of the complete voting materials, seeking every opportunity to increase the number of mandates won. .

Allegedly, according to the unofficial information of "Vijesti", the president of OO DPS and the candidate of the same party, Jovanka Laličič, is trying in every possible way to "move" about 15 more votes to her party and at the same time "remove" them from the HGI account, which, if if that happens, then she lost her second mandate, which, according to Dont's quotient, would then go to the DPS.

"We publicly warn the president of the Municipal Electoral Commission, Marija Sijerković, not to succumb to the pressure of her DPS colleagues who, since the end of the election, have been tirelessly and unsuccessfully rummaging through voter lists today. The operation is led by Jovanka Laličić, who obviously has to justify the election defeat to her boss and master. We emphasize that the members of the MEC signed the reports and agreed that the numbers of the ballots at all polling stations completely match the numbers of the coupons. On the other hand, the famous head of the Legislative Committee of the Assembly, who is okay with breaking the law "if it's for 5 minutes", makes superhuman efforts to convince the defeated "She got a few more votes for the DPS list and improved the election result. How far this gibberish goes, the fact that Laličić is even asking the MEC to turn invalid election ballots into valid ones using the hocus pocus method," said the civic newspaper "Narod Pobjeđuja" on the occasion today.

They emphasized that "if MEC president Marija Sijerković continues with this DPS circus", the NP electoral list will file criminal charges against her and the responsible persons.
