DPS Podgorica: Coupons were far under the table, we suspect that this is the opposition's fat

Representatives of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) were unable to continue reviewing election materials from polling stations in Podgorica, the DPS Committee of the Capital City announced today.

"Apart from the celebration, the opposition representatives in the MEC behaved in a dignified manner towards their political rivals through false and unscrupulous accusations of alleged theft of coupons, from a polling station where all members of the polling committee, from all parties, had already noted the lack of coupons in the minutes. After "after yesterday's review of the material and the discovery of numerous irregularities, today the representatives of the opposition organized themselves to prevent further control, which every party has the right to do according to the law," the press release of the DPS of the Capital City points out.

They added that last night, after the inspection of the DPS, the control of the Democratic Front (DF) followed.

"This morning, before the DPS started the control, there was also a check of the materials directed by the DPS. At the very beginning of this morning's work of the DPS representative, the opposition members of the MEC accused the DPS because of the observed two coupons under the table. So, not even a single representative of the DPS , already far under the table. Due to the attempt to shorten the deadline that the DPS received for the control of election materials, we have reasonable doubts that this is the fat of the opposition," said the DPS of the Capital City.

They also said that it is clear to anyone who knows the election process that the control of materials cannot change the electoral will of citizens, and especially not two planted coupons out of 152.000 of them.

"But one should be miserable and cynical, so use that. Regardless of this obstruction, the DPS will insist on completing the control of the election documents and expect the competent authorities to react effectively," the announcement concludes.
