Serbian officials, those who are otherwise "departmentally" charged with interfering in the internal affairs of Montenegro - such as Ivica Dačić, Aleksandar Vulin, Nikola Selaković, led by Prime Minister Ana Brnabić, reacted in chorus to an interview of the president of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Milo Đukanović to Belgrade television, Miloš Nikolić, DPS spokesman, announced today.
He added that it was an excellent opportunity for Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabić, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić and Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin to give Vučić a leg up and recommend him for positions in the new Government of Serbia.
"Although we are sure that the way they did it, especially the President of the Government of Serbia, with a vocabulary down to street level, even Vučić will not like it. They could write Brnabićka off with her language, but instead we recommend her to read the fable about the owl and the eagle. Such a style it befits them, but certainly not the state functions they perform. By the way, no Montenegrin official has ever insulted the Serbian president, even though official Serbia serves up a barrage of the worst accusations and insults against President Đukanović every day. It is interesting that Brnabićka and Selaković use the same word in their response sentence, which shows that they received clear instructions from the same point, but they didn't even bother to retell it," Nikolić pointed out.
He added that "yesterday's synchronized reaction of Serbian officials was allegedly provoked by the claim of the Montenegrin president that Serbia is interfering in the internal affairs of Montenegro".
"Which is a well-known fact, which can be supported by a lot of evidence. I would ask the Prime Minister of Serbia, who is surprised by the evaluations she heard during the interview, and then attacks our president in the most down-to-earth manner: What is it called when under the guise of fighting for the protection of Serbian interests people in the region, do you financially, logistically, and media support the opposition in the independent, civil state of Montenegro? What is it called when ministers in the Government of Serbia regularly attack Montenegro, its president and its institutions, and deal with political situations in our country more rather than his department? What is it called when the Belgrade media, including those that are state-owned, have been leading an unprecedented campaign against Montenegro and its president for months, targeting him every day, inventing the most monstrous lies? Don't just say that it is "independent journalism" "What is it called when those convicted in the first instance in the trial for terrorism regularly visit the Serbian president? After he gallantly put the state plane of the Republic of Serbia at their disposal," said Nikolić.
