After the elections, Montenegro will face a period of stabilization of public finances, uncompromising fight against corruption and acceleration on the path to EU integration, said Miloš Konatar, vice-president of the Citizens' Movement URA, today.
Konatar emphasizes that in this way the new government will create a basis for domestic and foreign investors to have better and fairer conditions for doing business in Montenegro than before.
"Businessmen and investors who do business in Montenegro have no reason to be skeptical about the potential of the new government to take on challenges and enable foreign and domestic investors to do normal and modern business. Montenegro needs strong economic growth, improvement of the business environment and the competitiveness of our economy." , said Konatar, and it was announced from GP URA.
He added that every foreign investor "who has invested or wants to invest in the territory of our country, with special reference to large projects on the coast such as Porto Montenegro, Lustica Bay, Porto Novi, Dukley Gardens, as well as those in the north that are they just expect" to have a serious ally in the new government."
It is our joint task to save every job in a time of crisis and create conditions for economic recovery and the creation of new jobs. The only thing that the state of Montenegro is asking for is respect for the law and a zero rate of corruption. Unlike Gvozdenović and his team, every businessman and investor will have a transparent and honest relationship with us. It goes without saying that all those who based their business on corruption and "hunting in the dark" in violation of the laws, will receive an adequate response from the state and that they will stand in the way of that," emphasizes Konatar.
He also says that the state will be a service to businessmen and in that sense will have a proactive approach in solving problems, suppressing corruption, with the desire to, as Konatar says, jointly promote Montenegro as a safe and strong investment destination on foreign markets.
"We are ready to support all advanced ideas that will raise our economy and economy to a higher level. The new government will have the task of facilitating business for domestic and foreign investors with a modern tax policy, transparent and efficient public administration. Digitization of public administration will be one of the priorities of the new government, and we expect the inclusion of our complete intelligence and the domestic IT sector," says Konatar.
He also says that the new government will establish intensive, honest and transparent cooperation both with large business entities and with small and medium-sized enterprises that will form the backbone of the economy.
"The new government will create a system on sound foundations in which there are no "favored and privileged" except in terms of quality and results. Therefore, we will stop the practice of public tenders being exclusively awarded to "party" companies, without clear criteria and the necessary quality. Laws and rules must apply equally to everyone," said Konatar.
He notes that "reckless political decisions and party interests must be thrown out of our economy, so that we never have a repeat of a tourist season like the one at the end when, with wrong political decisions, we closed the borders for the region and traditional markets and thus damaged Montenegrin tourism by at least 500 million euros".
"Ahead of us is a period of strong cooperation between the new Government and the business community in order to create better and fairer conditions for doing business in Montenegro. Strengthening institutions, the rule of law and improving the business environment are common goals that we will achieve through honest and transparent relations between the state and businessmen, as Montenegro would overcome the current crisis as painlessly as possible and start on the path of economic growth," concluded Konatar.
