More than 60 percent of citizens expect Montenegro to remain independent and on the Euro-Atlantic path after the elections, while more than 80 percent do not question the state's independence, according to the latest research by the Center for Democracy and Human Rights (CEDEM).
As announced by that non-governmental organization, the research was conducted using standard methodology on a sample of 1.035 respondents from September 11 to 19.
When it comes to the rating of political parties, with a turnout of 69 percent, DPS has 30,5 percent of support, Democratic Front 20,8 percent, Democrats 14,5 percent, URA 9,2 percent, Socialist People's Party 6,6 percent, and SD 5,1 percent.
BS would be supported by 3,8 percent of respondents, SDP 2,3 percent, Demos 2,1 percent, Prava Crna Gora 1,8 percent, Albanian Alternative 1,7 percent, Democratic Union of Albanians 0,7 percent, Forca 0,4 percent, United Montenegro 0,3 percent, and the Democratic Alliance in Montenegro 0,1 percent.
According to research, citizens' support for the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) is declining, and their votes are overflowing with winning lists.
When asked which list they would support if the elections were held again, with the same political actors, 34,8 percent of respondents said they would support the "For the Future of Montenegro" coalition, and 29,2 percent the "Decidedly for Montenegro!" coalition. DPS - Milo Đukanović".
The coalition "Peace is our nation" would be supported by 14,1 percent of respondents, "Black on White" by 8,3 percent, the Social Democrats (SD) would receive 4,8 percent of support, the Bosniak Party (BS) 3,8 percent, and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) two percent.
