The President of the Justice and Reconciliation Party, Hazbija Kalač, also sent a congratulatory message to the citizens of Rožaj on the occasion of Liberation Day.
"This day has been marked for seven decades as the day of liberation from fascism, but also the day of freedom for which both the individual and the community must constantly fight," the congratulatory message states.
As he stated, the previous generations understood that freedom is an eternal challenge that is defended above all by justice, defended by truth and honesty, at every step, and in all challenges that befall the individual and the community.
"We must understand this date even today, as a day of decisive and honorable struggle for an upright, honest and hard-working citizen who raises a family and builds a community based on moral principles, and only on them does freedom become justice," he said.
He also referred to the difficult situation caused by the coronavirus.
"These days, as a community, we are faced with the pandemic of the infectious disease Covid-19, with all the consequences that the whole world is facing. The weight of the challenge obliges us to adhere to the regulations of the competent health institutions," the statement said.
