The priority of the Democratic People's Party (DNP) is the formation of a new government in which they too would take responsibility and contribute to solving the accumulated problems of citizens and the state of Montenegro.
This was announced by DNP president Milan Knežević during a meeting with the Serbian ambassador to Montenegro, Vladimir Božović.
The DNP stated that "with responsible, professional, honest work and the people they have, they want to show how it is possible to work just as responsibly, professionally and honestly, better and with much more results than before".
In the DNP, they say that "they do not want to put any personal and party interests above national and state interests, with a clear sense of their strength and role, both in the current struggle for a better and fairer state, and their place and importance in the new Parliament of Montenegro." .
As reported, Knežević pointed out that it is necessary to work hard on the best possible relations between Montenegro and Serbia and to promote the principles of justice, truth and democracy through common European integration and values.
Božović, as announced by the DNP, said that he came as a friend to thank Knezević on behalf of the Republic of Serbia, and the members of the DNP, "for the previous attitude and attention towards the Serbian people, their Church, language, writing, as well as the Republic of Serbia".
"He pointed out that he is very encouraged and satisfied with what he heard and that he gives full support to such prudent and responsible positions, which will lead to the formation of a new Government of Montenegro - which, he is convinced, will work significantly to improve relations between the Republic of Serbia and of Montenegro. He is glad that Mr. Kneževic emphasized the importance of the common European path of Serbia and Montenegro and mutual support and assistance on that path, as well as the readiness for him personally and the party he leads to make a full contribution to it. Ambassador Božović expressed the hope that everyone's work, sincere sacrifice and advocacy for change will be appreciated with high awareness and responsibility towards the great expectations of citizens who deserve a life worthy of a human being in the European family of nations to which Serbia and Montenegro undoubtedly belong," the DNP announced.
The meeting was also attended by DNP Vice President Dragan Bojović.
