Today, the URA Civic Movement called on the newly arrived Minister of Health, Dr. Jelena Borovinić-Bojović, to provide money from the NKT donation account for the purchase of necessary medical protective equipment and the purchase of additional doses of vaccines against the seasonal flu, immediately after taking office.
They demand this, because they consider the behavior of the technical Government and the department's outgoing minister to be shameful, who have not responded to the request of the state pharmacy institution "Montefarm" since November 4 for the procurement of these medical devices that are missing from public health.
"That is the opposite of their policy all these years. Unscrupulous negligence towards citizens and the complete collapse of the public health system. In the epilogue, they confirm all these things", URE assesses.
URE adds that there are now 8 million euros in the account, and that 1.64 million is necessary for the purchase of this equipment, and that for a period of four months.
"It is unacceptable that we have citizens with chronic diseases who come across the fact that there is no vaccine in health centers and that they have no information about when new ones will arrive. The actions of the outgoing government are deliberately harming public health and showing the careless attitude towards citizens that has been characteristic of them for the past few decades. We are sure that this problem will be solved as soon as the new government takes office", concludes URE.
