National reconciliation should be built precisely on the foundations of our glorious past, if we want Montenegro to be an equal country for all its citizens, said the president of the Democratic People's Party (DNP) Milan Knežević and the president of the Yugoslav Communist Party of Montenegro (JKPCG) Vladislav Vuković.
The DNP announced that the DNP and JKPCG delegations, led by Knežević and Vuković, today laid wreaths at the Partisan fighter memorial on the Gorica hill in Podgorica and paid tribute to the liberators of Podgorica on December 19, 1944.
"The ephemeral idea of anti-fascism is confirmed even today not only as our choice, but also as an obligation, which we took over from our ancestors, whose heroic sacrifice we still remember and commemorate today," said Knežević and Vuković.
The DNP said that the officials of the two parties "congratulated all believers, who are celebrating St. Nicholas today, with their baptismal name, wishing them to spend this holy day in a good mood, filled with the blessings of a family home and love."
