The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) called on the police and the prosecutor's office to investigate all the circumstances incident in the Podgorica part of Preko Morača, when, according to unofficial information, Igor Damjanović and his friend Miro Bubanja were attacked. Damjanović wrote on Facebook that they were beaten - because they are Montenegrins.
"The Democratic Party of Socialists strongly condemns the physical attack on two citizens, Igor Damjanović and Mir Bubanja. Any intolerance on a national basis is inadmissible and should be adequately sanctioned. It is for these reasons that we call on the police and the prosecutor's office to investigate the case to the end and bring the perpetrators to justice," he announced. is MP and DPS spokesperson Miloš Nikolić.
As he said, the competent state authorities must resolutely stand in the way of any form of intimidation and violence, especially that with a national connotation.
"Decades ago, we built inter-ethnic and inter-religious coexistence, and we must preserve those values, as the foundations of the modern Montenegrin state, in the challenging times ahead," concluded Nikolić.
