Today, the Budva board of the Socialist People's Party (SNP) will publicly announce its exit from the ruling coalition and seek negotiations on the formation of a new government, "Vijesti" has learned.
In that party, they claim that the coalition agreement that the SNP concluded a year ago with Democratic Montenegro, the Democratic Front, Demos, the Citizens' Movement URA, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the Liberal Party was not respected.
The ten-day deadline given by the SNP to the partners to fulfill their obligations from the coalition agreement expires today. According to "Vijesti" interlocutors, Budva SNP president Veselin Marković informed the coalition partners that today he will step down from the ruling majority, but that he is ready to restart negotiations on concluding a coalition agreement on new grounds.
The request for new negotiations was addressed to the mayor Dragan Krapović, who took over the chair of the first man of Budva exactly one year ago. Although Marković, who is also the vice-president of the municipality, said at the annual conference of municipal leaders that there is no crisis of power, there has been speculation for days that there is dissatisfaction in the coalition.
"We had talks. Our demands were not of a blackmail nature, but simply as a political party we believed that some things that we defined in the coalition agreement would be done. We expected it to be done as soon as possible. I expect that, as far as The SNP, in our further functioning, will not have any problems", said Marković at the time.
The SNP's announcement that it will leave the coalition takes place on the eve of the session of the Municipal Assembly, where the budget for the following year was supposed to be adopted, as well as the Investment Plan and the City Development Program, which are key documents without which the city authorities cannot function. .
The SNP has one councilor in the local parliament and their presence is crucial for providing a quorum to the ruling coalition. An additional problem could be caused by the fact that independent councilor Stevan Džaković presented requests to come to the session of the SO to the coalition partners, stating that he will not vote for the budget unless its conditions are met.
Although only Džaković and the SNP openly expressed dissatisfaction with the relations in the government, experts in the political situation in Budva claim that tensions between the coalition partners have been simmering since the beginning, because some political actors are not satisfied with the treatment.
"The announcement of new elections practically only suits the Democrats and the Democratic Front, because they have retained the electorate, while the others, including the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), are still unprepared," said the "Vijesti" interlocutor.
If the budget is not adopted by the end of the year, i.e. a decision on temporary financing is not made, which also requires holding a session of the Municipal Assembly, the Government has the door open to introduce forced administration in Budva.
Budget weighing 40,5 million, 2018 euros allocated to help children born in 90.000
The budget for 2018 is set at 40,5 million euros, of which 90.000 will be spent on one-time benefits for each child born in Budva. About 50.000 is intended for participation in the Sea Property tender for the lease of the beach, which will have the status of a public city beach, with the aim of completely getting rid of beach furniture.
About half a million for the completion of the work on the Day Center for children and youth with developmental disabilities and difficulties, and one million euros for the maintenance of the city's infrastructure. 250 was earmarked for the construction of children's and sports playgrounds, and 300.000 for the reconstruction of the city swimming pool in Pisana.
