Ten social services are currently operating in the capital, of which three new ones were introduced this year - Senior card, Support for citizens facing the problem of infertility and Service intended for children from families of MOP beneficiaries, while the allocation for the others has been increased in the city budget.
This was announced by DPS councilor in the Assembly of the Capital City, Nataša Vučinić, reacting to announcement of the SNP in which, among other things, it is stated that the local administration should expand the existing social services, but also introduce new ones.
Vučinić stated that the capital "is a partner in numerous projects implemented by the non-governmental sector in this area".
"If SNP councilors followed the work of the city administration or at least the work of the city parliament, they would know what they didn't vote for, but it was still included in the budget of the capital city for 2021 thanks to people who are serious about politics, in the interest of those who support them. delegated it. For social services and various types of support for vulnerable categories of the population, the Capital allocated close to 800.000 euros in the budget this year."
Vučinić also stated that the tender for the introduction of tactile tracks has been completed and that the contract for the performance of the works was signed at the end of December 2020.
"Additional sound traffic lights are being installed on important city roads, bus tickets for pensioners at a reduced price have been sold through the electronic ticket system for half a year. A new contract has been signed for the National Kitchen, the essence of which is that the number of meals can be adjusted to the actual situation, so this year every person who applied for this service and met the conditions received free meals. city and state parliament, separate the responsibilities of state and local bodies. As far as the Capital City is concerned, the Day Center for children and youth with disabilities and developmental difficulties is within its jurisdiction, and it provides its services completely free of charge."
Vučinić points out that "populism and demagoguery have become a common means of communication on the Montenegrin political scene".
