The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MVP) announced that it will initiate disciplinary proceedings against the recalled ambassadors who did not come to the consultations, after which their employment may also be terminated.
"Vijesti" was told last night by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that ambassadors Miodrag Vlahović (Vatican), Darko Pajović (China), Sanja Vlahović (Italy), Vera Kuliš (Germany), as well as the ambassador to the USA Nebojša Kaluđerović did not travel to Montenegro.
These ambassadors, except for Kaluđerović, were previously recalled by the MFA. Ambassador to Serbia Tarzan Milošević, ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Dušanka Jeknić and ambassador to BiH Obrad Mišo Stanišić were also recalled.
President Milo Đukanović refused to sign the impeachment because, as he explained, the proposals for impeachment were not accompanied by explanations.
The MFA invited all ambassadors to return to Montenegro by January 18.
"Ambassadors who justifiably could not come to the consultation due to health problems informed the Ministry in a timely manner that they were unable to travel to Montenegro until January 18," said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It was announced that, bearing in mind the fact that failure to attend ambassadorial consultations without a valid reason, represents a serious breach of official duty, the Ministry will initiate disciplinary proceedings against the recalled ambassadors.
"With the end of the disciplinary procedure, the employment of the recalled ambassadors could end," said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the Law on Foreign Affairs, non-execution or unconscionable, untimely or careless execution of tasks or orders is a serious violation of official duty, for which fines are provided, a ban on working in diplomatic and consular missions, a ban on promotion and termination of employment.
