Democratic Montenegro MP Vladimir Martinović assessed that the level of changes in the system will be measured by the degree of independence of judicial and other state institutions.
He also said that by its action the Constitutional Court showed "that the actions of continuous coups are directed from one center of power".
"Where the SEC stopped with its unconstitutional and illegal actions, the Constitutional Court of Montenegro continued today, showing even the last citizen who had the slightest dilemma, that the actions of continuous coups are directed from one center of power. The level of changes in the system will be measured by the degree of independence of the judiciary and other state institutions. They were thwarted last time and today, as always, all attacks on the state will be democratically and legally eliminated, because nothing can stop changes and reforms in Montenegro," Martinović wrote on his Twitter account.
Today, the Constitutional Court extended by one month the deadline for the Assembly to express its opinion on the submitted request on the constitutionality of the Decision on the establishment of the Committee for Comprehensive Electoral Reform.
Earlier today, the President of the Assembly, Aleksa Bečić, announced that the Constitutional Court requests that the Assembly give its opinion on the submitted request on the constitutionality assessment within 15 days, which has not been recorded so far.
