The Movement for Change (PzP) accused the Nikšić Public Company Vodovod of being misused in the pre-election campaign for the upcoming local elections to be held in Nikšić on March 14, and of employing 30 workers after the parliamentary elections held on August 38 last year.
"Vodovod Nikšić employed 45 people in 2020, 38 of them after the parliamentary elections on August 30 last year, which represents an increase of as much as 24 percent. From the arrival of the director of the Waterworks, Velizar Vojinović, to that position in 2017 until the beginning of 2020, a total of seven people were employed, while now we have this incredible increase in the need for new employees, a few months before the elections in Nikšić, which are extremely important for the failed Democratic Party of Socialists . That it is a question of the use of a public company in an attempt to buy votes is best shown by the data that the company owes a total of over 740.000 euros for salaries, but even this fact did not bother the director of Vodovod to hire his son in the company on January 4 of this year," says the PzP announcement. -a.
They invited the Special State Prosecutor's Office, as well as other inspection bodies, to determine all irregularities related to the business of this company and to deal with the mentioned case.
"We are sure that Director Vojinović is not doing this on his own, but that he was promised that he would be absolved from all possible consequences. We hope that the Government of Montenegro and the Minister of the Interior Sekulović, instead of organizing meetings with the tycoons of the former regime and the Đukanović brothers, among which there are some examples such as Cijevna komerc, which has not paid salaries to its employees since 2018, or Voli, which pays a certain number of its employees minimum wages, react in the right way to the abuses that are happening in Nikšić and arrest all those involved in buying votes", said the PzP.
The Director of the Waterworks, Velizar Vojinović, told "Vijesta" that the systematization provided for the jobs to which the aforementioned workers were employed, and that most of them had been working in those jobs for four years.
"The advertisement was advertised and lasted for 15 days. Everything was public and transparent, all legal procedures were followed, and there were no objections or appeals. Those people worked for four years, were employed through the Agency, and before the New Year their engagement stood out, so, considering that these are jobs that are determined by systematization, we announced a competition and hired people who deserved it long ago with their work. ", Vojinović said and invited everyone who wants to come to Vodovod and check everything regarding the competition and employment of the mentioned workers.
