Amina Cikotić, president of the Youth Forum of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), announced today that they in the SDP are sorry that the Deputy Prime Minister and leader of the Citizens' Movement URA Dritan Abazović has become, as she said, Ana Brnabić (Prime Minister of the Serbian Government) Andrije Mandić (leader of the New Serbian Democracy and one of the leaders of the Democratic Front).
"Instead of condemning from the position of the authorities heinous insults towards Miljana Krivokapić who come from the circle of their new potential political supporters, from the URA will accuse us in the SDP of nationalism. If it wasn't sad, not to say miserable, it would be funny. Has the URA come to a stage when it can no longer even think of condemning the clero-nationalist performances of its coalition partners, but must even flatter them, as recently in the election campaign when their holder of the Nikšić list denied the genocide in Srebrenica?", she pointed out. Cikotić reacting to the announcement of Anđela Mijanović, candidate for URE councilor in Nikšić.
Cikotić added that the question is more rhetorical since the answer is quite clear.
"But what are you going to do, government is government, and the support of the extreme right has to be paid for with something. For colleagues from the URA, it seems to be the cheapest to pay for it with their programmatic principles, and the public knows that they went from being a civil party to an apprentice to Greater Serbian nationalism, already before them some crossed over. And of course in the meantime they disappeared from the political scene. Only someone can attribute imaginary nationalism to someone, and at the same time remain silent about such heinous insults and about the nationalism of their coalition partners, which claimed 90 thousand victims and displaced a few million in the 100s whose anger, frustration and lust for power ate elementary logic and common sense," said Cikotić.
According to her, since URI is full of fight against corruption and crime, SDP reminds them that they have their full support in this and as far as they are concerned, let them arrest anyone who has violated the law.
"Let them not forget anyone from the former government, but let them look around themselves, since there are millionaires in their closest media-tycoon environment. And let them explain to the public how "their" millionaires acquired that wealth in one, how they themselves they say, the dictatorship - it would be more than interesting to hear. The SDP can only express regret that the colleagues from URA were carried away by the atmosphere or, as someone would say, "minute of glory", so instead of civil parties they see allies in the extreme nationalist right. "We are also pleased that Dritan Abazović became Mandić's Ana Brnabić. It is therefore not surprising that the electoral list for Nikšić, which was published yesterday, has already started to fall out today. They have until March 14 to sleep on the winner," concluded Cikotić.
