The Committee of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) of the Capital City announced today that the representatives of the Democratic Front (DF) are pained by the fact that the administration of the Capital City in the previous period launched an extensive investment cycle with the implementation of significant capital projects.
"It bothers them that the construction of the boulevard through Donja Gorica will soon begin, that our partner on the project for the southwest bypass, IFC, that funds have been provided for the waste water treatment plant and the treatment of sewage sludge", is stated in the reaction of the DPS Board.
All this, they claim, is a thorn in the side of the opposition, which after the last elections is aware that, despite the support of the media, it cannot win together even a fifteenth of the votes of the DPS, "because it is completely clear to the citizens who is telling the truth and who is not." the opposite”.
The DPS Committee of the Capital City reacted to the DF's allegations that the campaign for the local elections in Podgorica in the DPS is taking the form of panic, because the Mayor of the Capital City, Slavoljub Stijepović, has been pushing himself to the fore for days, both in the media and in the field.
DF claims that the opposition, led by DF, will win convincingly in Podgorica.
The DPS asked the representatives of the DF if they were referring to the same opposition that the DF said in October that they convincingly lost in the elections to Stijepović.
"The DF should first explain to the opposition that it is calling on that it will lead it. And the fact that the DF won zero votes in the last local elections in Tuzi speaks best of the alleged victories and support of the citizens," said the DPS Board of the Capital City.
They claim that DF's claims that certain structures in DPS, led by Duško Marković, want to impose Stijepović as a candidate for mayor of DPS in this election as well, while Milo Đukanović and his team do not want to see Stijepović even on the board list.
"DF, if he was serious about doing anything that was not at the level of retelling gossip, he would know that Marković receives delegations from local government units before the day of that municipality. It was the same with the capital. "Conspiracy theories exist only in the heads of DF officials, who are so entangled in them that they deny themselves," said the representatives of the DPS Committee of the Capital City.
Speaking about the implemented projects in Podgorica, they announced that over 100 million euros of investments were realized in that city in the last three years, although the capital budget was 64,53 million euros.
"That's 100 million euros invested in roads, streets, expansion of the water and sewage network, environmental protection, communal services, social services, educational facilities, sports infrastructure," the announcement states.
As they claim, more than 190 kilometers were paved and about 126 kilometers of roads were paved, which is about 13 million euros, and the street was reconstructed worth about 10,5 million euros.
"We made a square in front of the city stadium, the value of which is half a million euros. We returned the monument to Prince Mirko Petrović. Tabački most was reconstructed in the value of 290 thousand euros. The reconstruction of the Clock Tower and Bećir-beg Osmanagić Square, worth around 400 euros, is nearing completion," the announcement states.
