At the meeting of the SO Šavnik, which is scheduled for Thursday, February 18, a new president of the municipality will be elected, and the ruling Democratic Party of Socialists has proposed Jugoslav Jakić, the former president of the municipal assembly, for that position.
He will replace Vlatko Vuković as President of the Municipality, who resigned due to health problems.
The new president of the local parliament will also be elected at the session, and the DPS proposed Nadežda Kotlica for that position, who was already the president of the SO in the previous convocation.
The session will be chaired by Srećko Kotlica, councilor of DPS, and the councilors will note the termination of the mandate of the current vice-president of the municipality of Šavnik, Milijane Ašanin.
Jakić was born in 1988 in Savnik. He graduated from the Faculty of Law in Podgorica. At the same faculty, he received his master's degree in criminal law. Until now, he has performed the duties of secretary of working bodies, chief of the Municipal Police and vice president of the Municipality of Šavnik.
Kotlica has a degree in economics and has been professionally engaged in various jobs in the Municipality of Šavnik since 1986. Until now, she has performed the duties of the officer for planning and analysis, the head of the department for agriculture, the secretary of the Secretariat for Economy and Social Activities, the head of the Service for Social Work and the vice-president of the Municipality of Šavnik. She was the president of SO Šavnik, and Jakić replaced her in that position.
Both she and Jakić are members of the Executive and Municipal Boards of DPS Šavnik. SO Šavnik has 30 councilors, 19 from the ranks of the DPS-SD coalition, eight from the SNP-DF coalition and three Democrats.
