Education in the Municipality of Nikšić does not receive enough institutional attention, even though it is the starting point of a successful and developed society, both at the state and local level, announced Anđela Krivokapić, a candidate for councilor from the list "Black on white - Može Nikšić".

He points out that Nikšić, as one of the university centers of Montenegro, must include that epithet in the official local policy.

"The previous city government did nothing in this regard. Unlike them, the first thing we will do after we have the opportunity to participate in the local government is to intensify the cooperation between the municipality and the faculty units of the University of Montenegro in the territory of Nikšić. We know that in our city located in the Faculty of Philosophy, Philology and the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education, which do not take enough part in the educational and cultural life of the city. Therefore, we will strengthen the ties between these faculties and the Municipality of Nikšić", said Krivokapić.

According to her, within the budget, funds will be obtained for scholarship studies for deficit personnel with grants, but with the obligation that the scholarship recipient will return to Nikšić and work for the benefit of the citizens for at least ten years in his profession.

"We know that quality education requires substantial financial resources, and we will do our best to continuously work on improving education in our municipality through municipal programs."

He states that in the future, they would find a way to help the social status of educators, by means of a municipal award in education and the construction of apartments for educators. "Our ambitious and realistic plan is to build five new kindergartens in Nikšić within four years of our mandate, because overbooking in the existing ones is very pronounced".

Krivokapić points out that during their mandate, the local government will also work on improving communication with international educational centers, and in that sense participate in international educational projects.

"During our mandate and the local government, Nikšić will be one of the leading educational centers in the country, with the ambition to occupy a prominent place in regional and European waters. Our vision is Nikšić - a city that cares about education. Because Nikšić can - black and white", the announcement concludes.
