"It has long been said that a city is made up of its people. Not things, but people. The character of Nikšić was built by the inhabitants of this city", says Dr. Strahinja Bulajić, Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro and one of the "people from Nikšić".
How else would a city withstand three decades of devastation and economic decline? How would he survive during all those years when he was "eaten by locusts", when Nikšić was managed by those who did not give him anything, but only took from him, thus robbing him of his future?
"Nikšić has survived because it is a big city," replies Bulajić, "and its greatness is measured by the love and devotion of us, the people of Nikšić, who have remained loyal to it - for better or for worse."
Such people, determined to compensate Nikšić for what was lost and realize the right to the future of all people in it, gathered in our coalition, the largest in the history of the city of Nikšić.
"One of the goals of the coalition is to build a future made up of the youth of our city," says professor Spomenka Nikolić from the "For the Life of Nikšić" movement. She points out that young people are the most important resource and that any anomaly observed in that field is very significant. "This mostly concerns young people leaving this city, going abroad, to the region or other cities of Montenegro, all in search of a better life. The reasons for leaving are numerous: misery, insecurity, apathy and hopelessness that has been reigning for a long time," Nikolić points out. "Our coalition will stand in the way of that. And bring Nikšić the revival it deserves." Milutin Đukanović is sure that Nikšić will no longer be a city that people leave: "We will create new jobs. We are ready to work, all together, to make Nikšić what this city deserves."
And one of the guarantees for revival is the great support of our coalition.
A HEALTHY AND CHAMPIONSHIP SPIRIT OF THE COALITION
Doctors from the movement "For the life of Nikšić" - a constituent of the national coalition "For the future of Nikšić" know how to restore the reputation of Nikšić health care that it once had.
They put their knowledge and many years of experience at the service of the betterment of the city and all their fellow citizens. There are also numerous intellectuals - professors, economists and other highly qualified personnel, respectable citizens for whom For the life of Nikšić means For the future of Nikšić.
"We will improve living conditions in the city and create a quality environment for business investments. Local companies will hire new people with the help of the local self-government. Employees in Nikšić will no longer work in fear that they will be fired because of their political stance.
Fear was a tool that the outgoing city government in Nikšić manipulated many times. And the recent physical attacks on the activists of our coalition confirm that aggression is the only thing left for the usurpers of Nikšić's future.
But Nikšić will not give in.
"We will defeat fear and aggression, and gain security, freedom, peace and the future," says Danilo Pantić, European judo champion. That this is a coalition of brave, champion and winning spirit is also confirmed by the fact that, along with Danilo Pantić, it was supported by Ratko Drašković, Drago Musić, Maša Varajić and Boško Drašković - champions, whose successes are known and talked about outside our country. and who wholeheartedly supported the coalition "For the future of Nikšić". Nikšić's athletes deserve a future and a chance to make all of us proud with their successes. And he will get a wind at his back from the new local self-government: conditions for training and support for winning new titles.
"In a healthy city - a healthy spirit", they say from the ecological movement "Ozone", which has integrated its Green Plan - the fruit of many years of work, experience and knowledge of the local community with all its specificities, into our comprehensive plan for the recovery and development of Nikšić. "The green plan was created in accordance with all European and world standards and does not deal exclusively with the issue of ecology, but was created with a vision and desire for the sustainable development of Nikšić, as one of the pillars of ecological Montenegro. It is not only a matter of protecting our natural resources, but also of Nišić's strategic determination as a city of water," said Aleksandar Perović from "Ozone".
And water is the source of life. That is why this is both symbolic and practical, a fight for Nikšić as a city of life and future.
PARTICIPATE IN BUILDING YOURSELF AND THE FUTURE OF NIKŠIĆ
"In the future, Nikšić will become the economic center, not only of Montenegro, but also of the region," said Nenad Marković, candidate of the coalition from the SNP. And what is one of the first steps into the future? "For Nikšić to have a future, DPS must become the past. Therefore, take part in building your future", Dr. Vera Bulatović clearly said.
After the defeat of DPS, the coalition "For the future of Nikšić" will start implementing projects related to education, culture, economy and all other fields of development that were neglected during the rule of DPS. And the decision about the future of Nikšić will be made on March 14, and the first step towards returning Nikšić to himself is a convincing victory over the Democratic Party of Socialists.
"The Nikšić municipality building will no longer be a building of distance between the authorities and citizens, but a place of open doors for all Nikšić men and women," said the future mayor of Nikšić, young MP Marko Kovačević. "We have a big task on March 14. To defeat the outgoing government and achieve the best result. I believe in that, because the strength of this city is in the people who live in it."
