The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) assessed the Government's decision not to introduce health control at the borders as motivated solely by political reasons, ie the upcoming elections in Nikšić.
They stated in their announcement that Montenegro is the only country in Europe that you can enter without PCR or antigen tests.
They stated that epidemiologists in Serbia claim that over 30 percent of newly infected people are infected with the British strain of the virus, which is extremely easily transmitted, that is, that it is much more contagious, and that Serbia requires a PCR test for travelers from most countries.
"But that's why our Government, as long as material and logistical support arrives from Serbia and Republika Srpska, i.e. until the elections in Nikšić, allows travelers to bring in viruses and further complicate the extremely complex health situation in our country," the DPS stated.
They believe that "it is unfortunate that the current government cannot rise above the current political interest, and estimates that logistical and material assistance in the "Battle for Nikšić" is more important than protecting the health of all our citizens."
"Nevertheless, all this only shows the degree of panic in which our political opponents are because of the evident defeat in the elections", they stated.
