In the area of action within the reform of local tax and social policy, the Black and White coalition has several goals, announced Mirjana Spasojević, a candidate for councilor from that list in Nikšić.
She said that their political program is aimed at solving the real problems of the citizens of Nikšić and is not based "on inciting inter-ethnic and religious intolerance", but on effective action in the local community, as well as on the improvement and modernization of local self-government.
"The first is reflected in the reduction of real estate tax by 50 percent on property for the first or so-called primary residential space, and we plan to tax each subsequent residential space on a progressive scale. This means that citizens who, for example, have one apartment, will pay a reduced tax by 50 percent from the current scale, and that we will progressively tax those citizens who have more than one apartment," explained Spasojević.
Also, as she pointed out, they plan to work on reducing taxes by 50 percent on areas where economic activity is carried out.
"We will exempt any new company that employs more than four workers from road access tax for the first year of operation. In addition, we will redefine the obligation to pay taxes on local roads, in such a way that only those businessmen who significantly use and damage roads (construction companies, trucking companies) pay it etc.), and not all of them, as is the case now. For all catering facilities that regularly pay their obligations and that employ more than eight workers, we will reduce the costs for extending the location by 20 percent," she states.
She also mentioned that she will abolish the parking zone near the hospital and the Health Center.
"When it comes to local social policy, during the four-year term we will build two buildings for the needs of social housing. We plan to permanently solve the issue of the tenants of Trudbenik and the tenants of Desetka."
Spasojević also points out that the Black and White coalition believes that it is necessary to establish a fund to help sick children whose illnesses cannot be treated in Montenegro.
"On an annual basis, we will set aside a minimum of 1 percent of the budget or 200 euros for the needs of the fund. In addition, we will provide free internet access in all social housing where there are children."
It is essential, says the candidate for councilor from the list "Black on white - Može Nikšić", to support women's entrepreneurship, as well as to solve the housing issue of single parents.
"We see Nikšić as a city where every citizen has an equal chance for prosperity, and we direct our policies in that direction. This requires us, immeasurably more than it has been the case so far, to pay attention to the needs of vulnerable categories in society! For Nikšić, who will to be an example of a city of social justice! Black and white - Može Nikšić," she said.
