The behavior of the owner of Uniprom KAP, Veselin Pejović, is part of the classic pre-election campaign of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) for the elections in Nikšić with the aim of trying to destabilize the Government of Montenegro and the authorities in general, in order to score cheap political points through the backs of the workers, he announced today. Marko Milačić, President of Prava Montenegro and member of the Committee for Monitoring and Control of the Privatization Procedure of the Parliament of Montenegro.
"Strictly speaking, the goal of this play by Pejović, which is dangerous for society, is pre-election influence and additional disciplining of workers in his related company in Nikšić, Boksiti. Pejović came to the session of the Committee for Monitoring and Control of the Privatization Procedure with a clear plan, a pre-written speech, so there is no doubt that this is a staged scenario of sabotage of the economic and political life of Montenegro. In the manner of a classic slave driver, Pejović, for the sake of his own interests and those of his political superiors, treats 600 workers as hostages, who, together with their families, collateral damage of a dangerous whim of a businessman and his political mentors. Instead of, in accordance with the elementary decency of a man and an employer, listening to the people's representatives in the Parliament, in the aforementioned Commission, and correcting perceived irregularities and illegalities, Pejović chose the pre-election circus," Milačić pointed out. .
He added that the public can only imagine how Pejović behaves and treats the workers outside the reach of the cameras when he publicly plays with the destinies of 600 families of his own company in this way.
"Pejović must know that this Montenegro is not the one from before August 30 and that the fact that he is used to systemically supported bragging and his amining of the former parliamentary majority is no longer possible and we will not tolerate it. Blackmail by the employer, to the detriment of the state and workers, was whether they are one, six hundred or ten thousand, they cannot and will not be allowed, and the fact that it is an employer with well-founded doubts about the origin of the acquired property only further reinforces the need for the soon-to-be-released prosecution to deal with it," said Milačić.
