Sanja Damjanović said after the vote that she expects the victory of the European Nikšić, the European youth because "there is no alternative".
"The European way is our only alternative. I believe in the victory of development and prosperity, I am proud to be at the head of the European team for Nikšić because today our citizens do not choose political parties, but rather a political program, and the program of the European team for Nikšić is superior. We have a number of instruments on how to improve the economic situation in Nikšić, how to employ people, especially small ones. We have no other alternative, we have to follow the path of development because the other option will be economic collapse, fear and instability," said Damjanović.
She said that in the last month, an incredible positive energy can be felt in Nikšić, especially in the town square.
"I enjoyed having the opportunity to talk to many of our citizens, feel their impulse and feel the positive energy of all young people, regardless of which party they support. When it comes to tensions, I would say that it was more of a kind of populism and our political opponents are fighting with imaginary opponents, I don't feel any tensions or problems. I feel that we have to be a civil democratic society so that this is our main future, and I hope that the elections will pass peacefully," said Damjanović.
Commenting on the great interest of the regional and foreign media in the elections in Nikšić, she said that she sees those elections as local, elections for the citizens, for their better tomorrow, for the youth.
"You will not find in any European country that local elections are interfered with by outside factors and influenced by other countries. Our Montenegro has always been open to its neighbors, has always promoted multi-ethnic, multi-religious harmony, peace, and I am surprised why there is so much interest, but the most important thing for us is a better tomorrow for the citizens of Nikšić and a better tomorrow for our youth," said Damjanović.
