The Vice President of the Government of Montenegro, Dritan Abazović, will be on a three-day working visit to Brussels from Tuesday, where he will have meetings with the highest officials of NATO and the EU.
As announced from the Cabinet of the Deputy Prime Minister, Abazović will meet on Tuesday with NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Đoana, as well as with other high-ranking officials of the Alliance and representatives of member states.
The Deputy Prime Minister, as announced, on Wednesday, will have an appearance before MEPs in the Committee on Foreign Affairs in the European Parliament (AFET), as well as separate meetings with the President of the Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) in the European Parliament, David McAllister, the rapporteur of the European Parliament for Montenegro, Tonina Picula, as well as the co-chairman of the Parliamentary Committee of the European Union and Montenegro for Stabilization and Association (POSP) in the European Parliament, Vladimir Bilčik.
It is stated that Abazović will speak with the European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy, Oliver Varhelji, EU High Representative Joseph Borrell, the European Commissioner for the Environment, Oceans and Fisheries, as well as the Special Representative of the European Union for the Western Balkans and the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Miroslav Lajčak.
On Thursday, March 18, Abazović will have a meeting with the vice-president of the European Commission for values and transparency, Vera Jurova, as well as a meeting with the Quinta ambassadors.
"Abazović will use his first working visit to Brussels to affirm the Government's clear determination on the path of European integration of Montenegro and its resolute commitment to fulfilling the obligations from the European agenda, as well as the readiness to strengthen Montenegro's contribution to NATO," the announcement states.
