Democrats to DPS: It is unfortunate that those who contributed to the increase of its proportions are talking about the tragedy

Thanks to the announcement of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) yesterday and today, we got not one, but two days of political mourning for the opposition, radical and right-wing organization. Indeed, it is regrettable that those who, to the greatest extent, contributed to the increase of its proportions, are talking about the tragedy, said Democratic Montenegro.

They reacted to the announcement of the DPS in which it is stated that they "Democrats reacted unprovoked" and that an opportunity was missed to rise, even for one day, above the political everyday life on a sad occasion..

"Should we be reminded of the violations of the measures by the president of the DPS, of his travels at a time when they were prohibited by the measures of the NKT? I guess we all remember the gatherings they organized in the middle of the pandemic, during which they protested against expressed will of the citizens in the elections. In addition, they encouraged all this from the profiles and pages on social networks of their prominent party officials. After all that, gentlemen from the DPS, you still show a strong desire to organize mourning even though, we responsibly assert that , any further work on this on your part is absolutely unnecessary. You have already organized mourning that you could not have done better. If in today's and yesterday's announcements you actually cried out to be recognized, here we are," reads the unsigned statement of the Democrats.

They point out that there is no reason to attribute credit for their proposals, including the one about the day of mourning, to Aleksandar Zeković.

"Zeković is not a civic activist, but your most agile party official. Therefore, when you have a proposal, announce it yourself, you don't have to hide behind anyone. And let's conclude: we know why you insist so much on lowering the flag to half-mast. That's why you insist that you very shrewdly noticed that the flag only gets in the way when innocent journalists and citizens are beaten with a spear at the gatherings you organize," the Democrats said.
