The new secretary of SO Ulcinj, Forca, claims that the dismissal of Ceka is illegal

Today, in the continuation of the session, the Ulcinj Parliament, by majority vote, appointed Besart Resulani from DUA to the position of secretary of the Council of Ministers.

Resulani succeeded Ardita Ceka, whose dismissal at the last session caused controversy, because, as they claim in the opposition Forca, there were not enough councilors for the majority in the hall at that time.

In today's announcement of the Force councilor, it was assessed that the newly appointed president of the SO, Hadži Sulejmani, is not afraid of the law or harm.

The members of that party reminded "that after violating the Law on Local Self-Government, the Municipal Statute and the Rules of Procedure of the SO, at the meeting on April 8, the new parliamentary majority tried to dismiss the secretary of the SO on several occasions."

"Although the vote clearly showed that there was no quorum for the dismissal, today this new parliamentary majority again attacked the largest legislative institution such as the Assembly and in the continuation of the session, brought back the item on the agenda from the previous meeting and confirmed the dismissal of the secretary," the statement said. Force also notes that this is an unprecedented practice in the Assembly of Ulcinj.

"Ramadan is a month of abstinence in food and speech and it is a month when hearts are filled with mercy. It has become an unwritten rule of SO Ulcinj that no sessions are held during the month of Ramadan. Yesterday, the new majority decided to break every principle, every regulation and every law by scheduling the "continuation" of the session for today at 11 a.m., and then at 16 p.m.," reads the statement, which states that the Force councilors did not attend "that pre-Iftar meeting for which invitations come via SMS and phone, and voting takes place by acclamation"

"With this way of functioning of the SO, it is difficult to create a regular and cultural opposition in it. "This is the first time after 30 years of parliamentarianism in Montenegro that a member of parliament is dragged away as a person without an attitude, without principles, without knowledge and without dignity," the announcement reads.

In Forca, they remind "that the Secretary of the SO Tuzi continues to work normally as a professional from the ranks of the PDS and that he was not dismissed thanks to a correct understanding of the law and damage, as well as respect for professionals." The situation is similar, they say, in the SO Bar Service, which is still managed by SD personnel.

"Also, we call on the president of the municipality, Aleksandar Dabović, as the person responsible for the implementation of the municipality's budget, to declare the damage of over 50.000 euros caused to the municipality, which under his mandate goes beyond the law," said the Force. The announcement adds that Forca will have enough strength, knowledge and determination to face any harmful coalition for Ulcinj.

"Law and truth will be defended in the institutions of the judiciary and prosecution. And to you who create divisions and hatred because of personal and career attitudes and who knowingly violate the law, we wish God's mercy," the announcement reads.
