Vukoslavčević: DPS did not vote for the decision that would help Bar businessmen, the citizens are sorry

At the last session of the Bar Municipal Assembly, held in March, Biram Montenegro councilors proposed a Decision on reducing prices for all tenants whose landlords are city companies, in accordance with the recommendation of the Government of Montenegro.

"The proposal for a Decision that would help small and medium-sized businesses to survive the pandemic was not voted for, and the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) supported by the Democrats' councilors did not vote for it, who did not want to vote despite their discussions, by which they were absolutely against the proposal of our decision. while the SD was restrained," announced Ljubo Vukoslavčević, head of the Biram Montenegro committee group.

He claims that the reason for not voting is purely political in nature, because the proposal came from their side.

He points out that yesterday the media reported the news that the mayor of Podgorica, Ivan Vuković, also a member of the DPS, made a decision on the complete release of rent payment obligations for the previous period.

"Who is right here?! Is it the government of the DPS and SD in Podgorica or the DPS in Bar, which had this Decision in front of them a month ago and which was not voted on thanks to the non-voting of the Democrats and the restrained SD? "Bar is run by citizens whose existence depends on business at markets and markets, and whom some councilor called bar tycoons in the discussion about the Decision," said Vukoslavčević.

He added that the citizens of Bar have no more time to divide into Serbs and Montenegrins, Albanians, Bosniaks and Muslims.

"On the divisions imposed on us by certain parties, both on this side and on the other side, because it suits them because of political results. Once again, we warn all parties in Montenegro and in Bar to urgently start thinking about the existence of our citizens immediately, because we are afraid that in September will be too late. Gentlemen, come to your senses! Bar and Montenegro have no more time for new divisions! We remind you that new elections are coming, and then the citizens will evaluate whether and how you worked in their interest", concludes Vukoslavčević.
