The Electoral Reform Committee elected members of four working groups

The Committee for Comprehensive Electoral Reform has elected members of four working groups, which will deal with the definition of several laws and the implementation of recommendations from the European Commission's report on progress and the OSCE/ODIHR mission.

Committee President Strahinja Bulajić said that due to the great interest and the fact that ten clubs participate in the work of the committee, he proposed that the working groups have three members each - three from the parliamentary majority and three from the opposition. Previously, it was planned that the working groups would have two members each.

Danilo Šaranović (Democrats) was elected president of the first working group, and Predrag Bulatović (DF), Dragan Vukić (SNP), Boris Mugoša (SD), Genci Nimanbegu (Albanska lista) and Kenana Strujić - Harbić (BS) were elected as members.

The competence of that working group will be defining the proposal of the Law on the Election of Councilors and Members of Parliament, defining the way of holding local elections in all local self-government units in one day, strengthening the overall capacities and professionalism of the State Election Commission.

Branka Bošnjak (DF) was elected president of the second working group, and Momo Koprivica (Democrats), Miloš Konatar (URA), Jovanka Laličić (DPS), Kenana Strujić-Harbić (BS) and Draginja Vuksanović Stanković (SDP) were elected as members.

The competence of that working group will be defining the proposal of the Law on the voter list and the proposal of the Law on registers of residence and residence.

The working group of three will be headed by DPS deputy Daliborka Pejović, and the members will be Branka Bošnjak (DF), Momo Koprivica (Democrats), Miloš Konatar (URA) and Genci Nimanbegu (Albanska lista) and Jovanka Laličić (DPS).

The description of the responsibilities of that working group will include the definition of the proposal for the Law on the Financing of Political Entities and Election Campaigns and the strengthening of the overall capacity, professionalism and transparency of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption.

The fourth working group will be chaired by Draginja Vuksanović Stanković (SDP), and the members will be Predrag Bulatović (DF), Danilo Saranović (Democrats), Dragan Vukić (SNP), Daliborka Pejović (DPS) and Boris Mugoša (SD).

The competence of the fourth working group will be the analysis of the application of the Law on the Identity Card and the Law on Montenegrin Citizenship, with the possible preparation of proposals for amendments if they turn out to be useful and necessary for the realization of the set goals, and the definition of the proposed code of ethical behavior in election campaigns.

All four working groups are responsible for the implementation of the recommendations from the European Commission progress report and the implementation of all recommendations from the OSCE/ODIHR mission report.

The board also established a public call for the election of three associate members from the non-governmental sector and the election of two associate members from the academic community - universities, and formed a commission to review documentation for public calls.
