Significant budget funds are allocated for military diplomacy, and therefore the engagement and work of the military-diplomatic representatives of Montenegro must be as efficient and professional as possible, said Defense Minister Olivera Injac.
As announced by the Ministry of Defense, today she and her associates held annual consultations with the military and diplomatic representatives of Montenegro accredited abroad.
Injac pointed out the importance of performing military duty abroad, since military-diplomatic representatives represent the state and represent its interests.
She stressed that active engagement in accreditation countries, i.e. daily and comprehensive maintenance of bilateral defense relations with allied and other countries, is extremely important for strengthening mutual trust and positioning Montenegro as a reliable ally and partner.
"Injac also pointed out that significant budget funds are allocated for military diplomacy, and that therefore the engagement and work of military-diplomatic representatives must be maximally efficient and professional," the announcement states.
She pointed out that the military and political segments in embassies and missions abroad must act as a single team in order for Montenegro's strategic goals to be realized as successfully as possible.
Military and diplomatic representatives informed Injac about the activities carried out in the last year within the framework of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, bearing in mind that the annual consultations were not held last year due to the epidemiological situation.
They also informed Injac about the planned activities for this year.
"The meeting was an opportunity for the military-diplomatic representatives to present the current areas of cooperation in the host countries, and propose future steps to intensify it," the announcement says.
