The Council of the Agency for the Protection of Personal Data and Free Access to Information (AZLP) established that the decision of the State Election Commission (SEC) to check whether a voter who is registered in the voter list of Montenegro is simultaneously in the voter list of BiH available on the public portal izbori.ba , in the voter list of Serbia on the portal upit.birackispisak.qov.rs, as well as in the publicly available voter lists of other countries, is not in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.

This was announced by AZLP, after the session of the Council of that institution.

They stated that the initiative for the supervision procedure at the SEC was launched ex officio and at the initiative of a citizen.

"The inspection is scheduled for May 4. The public will be informed about its outcome in a timely manner," AZLP pointed out.

The SEC announced on Monday that 1.973 voters who have the right to vote in Serbia are registered in the voter list in Herceg Novi.

However, four members of that institution from among the authorities dissociated themselves from that announcement, claiming that it was not established at the session. They warned "that there is a reason to suspect that a criminal offense has been committed which is being prosecuted ex officio".

AZLP previously told "Vijesti" that on April 19, the SEC asked them for an opinion on whether it can check "double voters".
