The official negotiations of the Social Democrats (SD) with the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and the opposition on power in Cetinje should begin in the second half of next week.
Negotiations will not begin until Damir Šehović returns from the United States.
Šefović is the head of the SD negotiating team for Cetinje.
"There will be no negotiations while Šehović is in America. But we will start slowly with the drafting of the negotiating platform," said the interlocutor of "Vijesti" from SD.
The SD negotiating team includes the president of the Cetinje board Ivan Gazivoda, the coordinator for Cetinje Goran Petrović and councilor Ivan Ivanović.
This party decides who will form the government in Cetinje.
Šehović is starting a six-day visit to the USA today.
The Minister of Education is leading a delegation from the Government of Montenegro that will visit the Consulate General of Montenegro and meet with representatives of the Montenegrin diaspora in New York.
"As there are over 200 school facilities in Montenegro, continuous investment is necessary with the aim of creating an optimal environment for the work of all students. In these efforts, it is also necessary to achieve good and open communication with all potential donors, including the Montenegrin diaspora," reads the text of the platform to visit the USA.
The election commission of the capital announced the final results of the elections in Cetinje on Thursday.
DPS secured 16 mandates, Civic Movement URA and Democratic Montenegro have five each, Social Democratic Party three, and Old Guard LSCG and SD two each.
The Assembly of the Capital has 33 councilor seats.
Both the DPS and the opposition hope to get the support of the SD.
