The leader of Montenegrin and that party's councilor in the Budva Municipal Assembly Anđela Ivanović rejects claims that that party is now involved in the current conflict in the ruling coalition.
She was reacting to allegations by Democratic Front (DF) councilor Miloš Nikić, who accused the Budva Democrats of secretly meeting with friends from Montenegro last year to enable them with the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS-) to remove Budva Municipality President Marko Carević.
"Dear citizens of Budva, as it is already obvious that the new government in Budva has the same problems it once had, when we from Montenegro saved it and gave it a chance, we deny any involvement in them. After many disappointed expectations, violations of the written the coalition agreement, the stagnation of the city, the arbitrariness of one man, the humiliation of our members, the only option for us was to initiate the dismissal of Marko Tsarević. We understand the essence of the problem, but we neither meet, nor do we intend to interfere in the conflicts that exist within the majority, which is the same man elected as president. If this is discussed, Montenegro will make a decision at the party bodies on how to vote on this issue. Until then, we have the season, tidying up the city, vaccination, improvement of the economic environment, "said Ivanovic.
