I believe that Montenegro can provide a lot and help on the integration path of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), announced the Prime Minister of Montenegro Zdravko Krivokapić in Sarajevo at a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić.
The Government of Montenegro announced that at the meeting it was assessed that Krivokapić's visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina will give a strong impetus to even better bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The announcement states that Krivokapić expressed satisfaction with his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina and assessed the meetings he held with the local leaders as positive.
"This is my first official visit to the region in the capacity of Prime Minister. I am glad to be in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I believe that Montenegro can offer a lot and help on your integration path. I have come to offer that support and confirm the determination of the Government of Montenegro to remains a factor in preserving stability and progress in the region," Krivokapić said.
In the announcement, it is written that Novalić thanked Krivokapić for his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina and for his willingness to provide support to Bosnia and Herzegovina on behalf of the Government of Montenegro.
"The shared history further encourages both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro to continue cooperation in the future. I am happy that infrastructure projects have started," said Novalić.
The Government also said that "the interlocutors agree that it is necessary to intensify cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, especially in the domain of infrastructure, energy, water management, tourism, agriculture and forestry, and that the same should be realized whenever possible through mechanisms of regional cooperation".
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management in the Government of Montenegro, Aleksandar Stijović, as well as the Federal Ministers of Agriculture, Finance and Labor and Social Policy, Šemsudin Dedić, Jelka Miličević and Vesko Drljača.
