Sokić elected as the new president of DPS Pljevlja

Dragiša Sokić, the current president of the Municipal Assembly (SO) of Pljevlja, was elected today as the president of the Municipal Board (OO) of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) of Pljevlja.

In the announcement of DPS Pljevlja, it is stated that Sokić was elected to that position unanimously at today's session of OO DPS Pljevlja.

"Members of the Municipal Committee expressed their belief that the party's results from the previous elections could be significantly improved and emphasized that new energy can already be seen after the constitution of the party's body, which is the driving force of new victories both at the local and state level. That is why they unanimously supported the election of the new president of the Municipal Board, which with its highly moral, human and professional qualities is able to lead the organization of our party in Pljevlja", the press release of DPS Pljevlja emphasizes.

The announcement also states that Sokić is a long-term member of several DPS bodies, "recognized as someone who knows how to spot and promote the strategic directions of development of our society, but by no means forgetting the interest of every citizen to live in a modern, civil state with equal opportunities for all".

"Regardless of the current political situation, the idea of ​​a civil, anti-fascist and European Montenegro, a state of equal members of all religions and nations with DPS as the main bearer of ideas and guarantor of the Euro-Atlantic path of our country, will win," said Sokić.

DPS Pljevlja said that in addition to OO members, the coordinator in front of the Presidency of DPS of Montenegro, Aleksandar Žurić, attended the session.
