Alekse Bečić's democrats imagine that they are the only yardstick of the political world in Montenegro and that they can decide on everything, said Democratic Front (DF) MP Radoš Zečević.
President of the Assembly and leader of Democratic Montenegro, Aleksa Bečić, said earlier today that Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić should not resign and that he has the full support of the Democrats.
Zečević pointed out that "as of today, they put Krivokapić at the top of their list and took him from the Democratic Front and the coalition 'For the Future of Montenegro'".
"Thereby, he became the first on the list of those who are a minority in the majority, the first on the list of those who were against the signing of the Basic Agreement and who believe that with Milo's Democratic Party of Socialists, in due time, they can defeat the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Serbs, the DF and the ZBCG coalition," Zečević said.
He said that the Democrats "show their face and think that the minority is more important than the majority and that the minority should rule the majority", and that for them this is democracy.
"If they understood the meaning of democracy, they would talk to the majority that supports them, the one that elected their president as the President of the Assembly, Dritan Abazović as the Deputy Prime Minister, and they think that they have the right to challenge everything to others, and those who are the majority. That is for them, equality and collegiality," says Zečević.
As Zečević states, since the Democrats support Krivokapić, they now need to secure the support of the majority for the Government or recognize that the Prime Minister is supported by "slightly more than one-eighth of the total number of deputies in the Parliament".
"If they think that out of all the deputies, ten of them can make decisions on behalf of the entire parliamentary majority, then they are seriously mistaken. Is this democratic action, Democrats?" he said.
Zečević said that without the DF there is no Government, no parliamentary majority, no coalition and that this will have to be learned and accepted.
"I will use the opportunity to call on our leadership, on behalf of the largest municipal organization of the coalition "For the Future of Montenegro" from Podgorica, not to retreat even one millimeter, because since August 30 we have seen hundreds of blackmails from those smaller and apparently more rude coalition partners." , he said.
