The municipality of Bar, whose potential is significant for the overall development of Montenegro, has a respectable personnel potential and implements development projects, Prime Minister Duško Marković assessed at a meeting with the city's management.

"Bar is doing well, it has respectable personnel potential, development projects are being implemented, there are plans for development in the coming period," Marković said in a conversation with the presidents of the Municipality, Zoran Srzentić and the Municipal Assembly, Radomir Novaković, and the Chief Administrator of the Municipality, Zoran Radojičić.

Marković received the municipal delegation from Bar on the occasion of tomorrow's Municipal Day, and on that occasion he congratulated the leadership and citizens on the holiday.

"In addition to the general assessment that a lot has been done in the municipality of Bar that deserves respect, it does not mean that there are no open questions, for which we are ready to give answers to some of these challenges already this year", said Marković and added that he is determined to within the framework of the capital budget for the following year, development projects of fundamental importance will be supported.

The Government Service for Public Relations announced that in cooperation between the Government and the Municipality, we should continuously work on improving the living conditions of citizens and opening development perspectives.

Srzentić and his colleagues said that an atmosphere of optimism and positive energy had been created in Bar, and that encouraging results had been achieved in certain areas.

"In the first nine months of this year, 17 percent more tourists visited Bar than in the same period last year, and 16 percent more overnight stays compared to the comparable period," the announcement states.

Srzentić stated that, in addition to tourism as a strategic branch, Bar's development commitments also include the production of organic food and the valorization of the tourist potential of Lake Skadar.

"Serious investors are interested in investing in Montenegro almost every day. When the results of this year's tourist season are summed up, we have realistic grounds to welcome the end of the year satisfied with what has been done. We have created the conditions to improve our economy and raise the quality of life in Montenegro to a higher level," said Marković.
