DPS Pljevlja: With party recruitment, they are collapsing the mining and energy complex

The Pljevlja Coal Mine and Thermal Power Plant (TE) are the most obvious example of how, for the sake of personal interest, relatives, godfathers and party activists, the mining and energy complex on which the city's economy rests is being deliberately collapsed, announced the Municipal Board of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) of Pljevlja.

"The current experts at the head of Rudnik and TE are only capable of weakening and destroying those companies, first of all through revanchist expulsion of individuals and the absence of any strategy for the further development of energy and Pljevlja", according to the announcement of Pljevlja DPS.

They added that the current administration has only shown how family members, relatives and prominent members of ruling parties are brought in every day, who don't even know what their job description is.

"Certain personnel decisions and procedures certainly enter the zone of criminal responsibility, and decades-long trade unionists can sit on boards of directors and at the same time be leading "experts" for evaluating the political suitability of employees," said the DPS.

They added that the question is what kind of results those companies will achieve and whether they will survive at all, because their income is used exclusively for personal gain, not at all for the benefit of the city, citizens and economy.

"The personnel who are being transferred from local companies to energy companies do not match the jobs in the economy in terms of their professional profiles, so we are getting into a situation where philosophers, historians and writers decide about Rudnik and TPP", said the Pljeval DPS.

They believe that the collapse of Pljeval's energy companies is only a reflection of the situation at the state level and the image of the government, which is destroying the painstakingly achieved in the previous period.

"We will not forget the state in which the former local government left Pljevlja in 2014, implementing before that the same principle of hiring party and related personnel, as is now implemented in Rudnik and TE", said the DPS.

They believe that it is inadmissible to repeat the same mistake.

"That's why we follow every move of the management of the energy companies, so that in a few years they won't regret that we were left without the biggest economic resource and opportunity for further development of our city", they stated from DPS Pljevlja.
