The decision to pass the Resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica is a sign of new winds in the region and represents a bold and long-term beneficial move. It showed the relationship of sizes in the region, stated the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Selmo Cikotić after the meeting with the Vice President of the Government of Montenegro Dritan Abazović.
As announced by the Government of Montenegro, Abazović pointed out that the passing of the Resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica was a moral and civilizational decision.
Cikotić stated that the relations between BiH and Montenegro are a paradigm of the relations that should be between all the countries of the Western Balkans in the future.
"Montenegro's membership in NATO is an important element of regional stability, very important for Bosnia and Herzegovina as well," said Cikotić. Abazović emphasized to Cikotić that Montenegro supports the integrity of BiH and its path towards European integration, making itself available to help in that process.
"Abazović and Cikotić also discussed the results of the suppression of criminal groups in Montenegro and the region, then projects that will lead to better infrastructural connection of the two countries and reduction of crowds at border crossings during the summer tourist season," concludes the Government announcement.
