Five councilors of "Biram Bar" (BB) will sign the request for an extraordinary session of the SO Bar to call a referendum when invited by the Civic Initiative (GI), it was announced today at the press conference of BB, which is a member of the ruling coalition in Bar.
Request are initiated by the Democrats yesterday and so far it has been signed by all nine opposition councilors in the SO Bar. Without BB councilors, the request is not valid because it does not have the necessary third of the councilors.
When asked by "Vijesti" what this actually means, BB president Radomir Novaković Cakan said that "a letter or an invitation is enough, and we will sign the request", with the provision that the invitation should be "from those representatives of GI who represented it in the Assembly Municipalities and who spoke with us".
"They are authoritative for us," Novaković added.
When asked by "Vijesti" whether the BB councilors will be with the citizens at tomorrow's protest as well as the previous three times, Novaković replied that BB members are free people "who do not have a central office and where no one can order anyone how to behave". .
"We here all think for ourselves and each of us has our own attitude. Whether one of us will be present tomorrow or not is a matter of personal decision, and I will not put any objection there, nor initiate it to go. It is everyone's decision individually, how everyone feels," Novaković added.
The BB press conference was called after yesterday's announcement by the Democrats. The secretary of the party Ljubiša Tadić said that the president of the club of councilors BB Stevo Novaković received a request for signatures for an extraordinary session of the SO to call a referendum on the construction of a kindergarten at the location near the Gymnasium. He added that after the unanimous decision, BB expressed its intention to meet today with the signatories of the request at 10 a.m. in the party offices, but none of the opposition members came.
"These are serious matters that cannot be discussed like this through portals and social networks. In BB, we were unanimous that the idea was good and that it should be discussed, but we received a piece of paper without a stamp, date and what is most important - the will to discuss everything, because, on our side, we want to talk. The biggest problem here is that some people were not ready to talk. We invited GI representatives to be at that meeting, because they started the protests and pointed out that they don't want to parties are promoted through it. I personally don't want to score cheap political points on the emotions of citizens and conduct politics through social networks, we are always in favor of fair play and we will play fair, our politics will not come before the citizens of Bar," said Novaković, emphasizing that in BB "the media campaign around kindergartens is not important, but the citizens".
Stating that BB supported the GI "within the institutions", he added that the GI should also be resolved before the Constitutional Court, to which the signatories of the GI have appealed.
"I was present at the unpleasant scenes on January 31, when the street was blocked by strong police forces. There is no need for that, that's why the BB sent an urgent request to the Administrative Court-President Branka Lakočević, because we believe in the institutions and that they will make the right decision," Novaković continued. .
In the urgency, among other things, there is an appeal to President Lakočević to "do everything in accordance with his competences" in order to resolve the appeal of the GI by an urgent procedure.
Novaković also pointed out that he regrets that the situation surrounding the collection of signatures was "abused and placed in the media before the solution". adding that BB will not allow blackmail and bringing it to the fore.
"If it was a problem to meet in our office, why couldn't we meet in the SO hall? We don't have reserve positions and headquarters in Podgorica, we're not afraid of our decisions. It's no problem to sign the request for an extraordinary session, but only if that's what we want GI. If politics gets involved in this, it is doomed. I feel sorry for the fellow citizens who started this, it happened that the politicians are in the front lines of the protest, and as far as I know, it is evident that they do not want this to happen turn it into a political rally," Novaković said at the press conference.
