Diaspora is an essential part of the process of accession of Montenegro to the EU and it is of immeasurable importance to be involved in various forms of support, it was assessed yesterday at the round table in Bijelo Polje.

She reminded that this "tango" still requires two people.
"Europe also needs to 'play' so that it sees us together, and we also need to fulfill part of our tasks that are in front of us and there really are no shortcuts, everyone needs to do their part", said Đurović, noting that the diaspora is an important part of that process.
She pointed out that the EU is not a cash machine for issuing money for infrastructure projects, but that it is important, and that the benefits of membership can be seen in the east of Europe, which has developed significantly thanks to European funds.
President of the Parliamentary Committee for International Relations and Diaspora, Miodrag Lekić, said that in Montenegro, despite all the divisions, there is a huge consensus when it comes to the path to the EU.
"I guess that is the only consensus we have in Montenegro. Becoming a member of the EU does not mean that a fairy tale begins, but the determination in Montenegro is also significant, to accept standards, not in an inferior sense, that in some colonial style they come here to inform us about pedagogy, how it is done and organized. But on the other hand, we need to accept the rules of that club, and they are also in our interest, and that accession process is just as important as membership, because in fact we are getting closer in terms of values, and that is where a functional system of democracy, justice is important... ", he said. is Lekic.
Director of the Administration for Cooperation with the Diaspora, Seid Hadžić, recalled that at the beginning of the year, the Government, by amending the decree, explicitly classified cooperation with the diaspora in the direction of European integration among the mandatory activities of the Administration.
